“On Balance, the benefits of X outweigh the harms” is one of the most common formats for monthly Public  Forum Debate topics. To me, the On Balance has always served as a little reminder to look at things from the bigger picture and examine all sides evenly. In the same way, I hope that Speech & Debate can be an activity where every competitor has equal opportunity to learn and succeed. While this initiative first began as a PF debate camp, it quickly grew beyond that to include Lincoln Douglas debate and additional resources. My coach, teammates, family, and friends inspire me everyday to pursue that growth; Project On-Balance is my way of paying their support forward.
